Shetland Blues Festival 2008

First, apologies for not posting anything here for a while.

I hope you were able to catch us this summer either in Unst, on the pier at the Johnsmas Foy, or in Flints.

Our most recent gig was a 30-minute long whirlwind set at the Lerwick Legion last Saturday during the Shetland Blues Festival.

Big thanks to Ryan Leith for posting his videos on YouTube. Here they are:

Gig at Flints

Well folks, we have another rare public sighting of the Big Pockets this coming weekend! We’re playing our first gig in Lerwick’s finest pirate theme pub, Captain Flints, home to the legendary pool team the Skinflints.

The interval will include a prize draw for Disability Shetland, so bring a few extra quid, as DJ’s Smashie and Nicey would say “Its for Charriddee Mate!!”

Jamieson’s Big Pockets will be playing at the Scalloway Legion on Friday 31st Autust as part of the Shetland Blues Festival.

We’ll be supporting Blues ‘n’ Trouble. Son Henry is also on the bill.

It should be an excellent night, and we hope to see you there.

Holy Suffering Catfish! Jamieson's Big Pockets Announce Forthcoming Gig

Glux amussey!

After more than half a year in the musical wilderness, Jamieson’s Big Pockets are going to be playing live once again.

The date: Saturday 24th March 2007 (yes, THIS Saturday)

The time: Doors open at 9pm

The venue: Mooney’s Wake, Lerwick

The occasion: Lois Nicol’s 21st birthday (although it is still a public event)

Now that there is no more Dancing On Ice on Saturday nights, you might as well come and see us playing. Its only £3 to get in, and better still it is free to leave if you think we are pants.
